In 1981, a study conducted by the BRGM proposed to drill a new well in order to increase the amount of thermal water available for the therms.
The first well drilled, was located 50 meters north from the thermal building. The drilling process went well until a depth of 50 meters, where, the 56.2C water started to raise 50 meters above the floor level. The new geyser regurlarly erupted (every 10 minutes) during three days during November 1981, then every 12 hours until january 1982.
